Medicom Andy Warhol Banana Cushion

We don't feature many cushions. In fact, I don't think we've featured any before. But we have to feature this Medicom Andy Warhol Banana Cushion. Because, quite simply, it's a great piece of art-driven design.

You don't need us to that this cushion is based on Andy Warhol's design for the classic 1967 Velvet Underground debut album. But it's got more to it than you might think - the yellow 'skin' can be peeled off to reveal a pink banana inside, which is pretty impressive.

It's also got a Warhol label and its own Warhol certification, as the product has been made in conjunction with the Andy Warhol Foundation. Sized at 900mm in length, it sells for $270 (Australian) online.
