Book signing with Kevin Cummins at the Buy Art Fair

This weekend sees the Buy Art Fair arrive in Manchester, and as part of the event Kevin Cummins famous for his portraits of Manchester bands will be holding book signing sessions for his new book - Manchester: Looking for the light through the pouring rain.

The signings will take place on Friday 25 September with two sessions, 1-2pm and 6-7pm.

The book features portraits of many iconic Manchester bands, but also covers the fashion and attitudes that have helped to shape popular culture.

The print featured above will be available to buy at the fair from the Paul Stolper stand, and shows Joy Division, Cathedral Yard, Manchester, 6 January 1979. It is a gelatin-silver print from an edition of 75, sized at 50.8 x 40.6cm.
