eBay watch: Girlie Door silkscreen print by Sir Peter Blake

A real bargain if you can get it at the right price - this Girlie Door silkscreen print by Sir Peter Blake.

Originally produced by CCA Galleries, Girlie Door is a pop Art print based on Sir Peter Blake's work from the 50s to the early 60s - a red painted door with pictures of popular culture icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren, sized around 595mm x 820mm and in an edition of 175.

You can still pick it up from galleries, with prices around the £2,500 mark. But this one on eBay is at just 99p with no obvious reserve, although there's also a Buy It Now, should you want to beat the rush. That's set at £1,750.

eBay watch: Limited edition Studio Tackboard print by Sir Peter Blake

Not an obvious Sir Peter Blake print at first glance, but this limited edition Studio Tackboard print is still a very eye-catching piece of pop art.

It's a lithograph, numbered 207 from an edition of 350 and originally sold back in 2000 via Gresham Studio. The image itself looks like a collage of old Victorian-era imagery.

The print, which is on Somerset paper, measures 75cm by 35cm, and is signed and numbered by Blake in pencil. Right now it's something of a steal, with bids at just £2.20.

eBay watch: Derek Boshier and Christopher Logue's 1960s Sex War Sex Cars Sex pop art screenprint

Interesting how some artists are household names, whilst others, despite treading similar ground, go relatively unknown - like Derek Boshier.

Boshier was one of Britain's original pop artists, entering the Royasl College of Art in 1959 alongside David Hockney and appearing in the cult BBC TV show Pop goes the easel alongside Sir Peter Blake and Pauline Boty. Needless to say his work is worth looking out for. This Sex War Sex Cars Sex pop art screenprint was produced alongside Christopher Logue in 1966 according to the seller, although Christies, which recently sold one, pitches the print edition at 1970.

At that Christies auction, the print went for £329. This one, according to the seller, has some slight damge on the top, likely to be well hidden by a frame, but aside from that is much the same, expect for the price. How much? Right now, it's up for 99 pence.
