Bloomsbury Urban Editions Auction

There are a lot of auctions coming up in the next few weeks and you just have time if you are quick to get your bids in for the Bloomsbury Urban Editions auction on 13 October.

Featuring work by artists including Banksy, Dan Baldwin, Shepard Fairey, and the print featured above by Antony Micallef. The estimates for a lot of the work seem quite reasonable so it might be chance to bag yourself a bargain.

The print featured here is 'Girl in Red Dress' by Micallef and is a lithograph signed in pencil and inscribed P.P 2/2. It is a rare printers proof aside from the edition of only 25 that was printed at Curwen Studios and published by Lazarides Gallery. It is sized at 82 x 70 cm and is estimated at £2000 - 2500.

George Shaw's St Stephen's Day at Sotheby's Contemporary Art Auction

As well as spotting the Anthony Burrill print we also took the chance to view the upcoming lots of the Sotheby's Contemporary Art Day Auction that is due to take place on 16 October, and were pleased to see this St Stephen's Day piece by George Shaw in the sale.

It comes from his Scenes from the Passion series from 2003, and was acquired from the Wilkinson Gallery by the current owner. It is signed, titled and dated 2003 on the reverse, and is in his trade mark enamel paint on board. Sized at 43 x 53 cm it is estimated at £5,000 - £7,000. It's a bit dear for us, but if we could we would bid on this one.

eBay watch: Peter Blake Eiffel Tower print

Following the success of his Venice Suite Peter Blake has this year produced the Paris Quartet which includes this Eiffel Tower print.

This image of the Eiffel Tower surrounded by butterflies is beautiful and I would quite it myself. This print is on a buy it now of £2,500 which doesn't seem bad when you consider that it is already framed in a white box style frame and the standard price via CCA Galleries is £3,000.

The print is numbered 63/125 and is sized at 590 x 837 mm. You never know you might bag yourself a bargain if you make the seller an offer.

Yoshitomo Nara at Philips de Pury & Company Contemporary Art auction

It's always interesting to have a browse at upcoming auctions and this Phillips de Pury & Company Contemporary Art auction in New York on 14 May has some interesting lots, especially this Yoshitomo Nara Untitled, 2004 piece.

Estimated at $150,000-250,000 it's not cheap so you might need to bank on a lottery win to afford this acrylic and pastel on paper sized at 135.3 x 119.4 cm.

There are also some interesting pieces by Keith Haring and also a Banksy up for grabs, and all lots are available to browse online.
