Zing print by Sydney Harry Design

An eye-catching print with an interesting past too - the Zing print by Sydney Harry Design.

It dates from 1979, with 'the UK’s most influential colour theorist' producing the artwork originally to illustrate his work in colour theory and not for the commercial art market.

All that has changed now though, with Zing being just one example of the his colourful work now available as a print. This one is said to illustrate the concept of 'simultaneous contrast', an effect in which the contrasting colours each become tinged with the complementary of the other, so that the colour contrast is continually enhanced.

But we just like it because, quite honestly, it looks great on a plain wall, especially in a '70s-inspired room. At £45, it doesn't break the bank either.
