Jacques Tati-inspired French Tourist Board posters by Paul Thurlby

When it comes to modern-day travel posters, they don't get much better than these retro-inspired numbers produced for the French Tourist Board, which are the work of Paul Thurlby.

The posters are said to be inspired by the films of Jacques Tati and certainly have a midcentury appeal. Just a shame you can't buy them really. Or at least, you can't buy them yet. In all honestly, they're unlikely to go on sale - these are the designed to encourage us to go on holiday in Western France and to promote the Visit Western France website.

Paul Thurlby is the illustrator, who has his own site, so you can always keep an eye on there for possible sales. In the meantime, have a think if you know anyone who works in the travel industry.
