Dan Baldwin - The Future Frontline Renegades of Dead London

We haven't seen a new screenprint from Dan Baldwin for a while from Eyestorm, and this is for a reason. He has been waiting to produce something really special and this print The Future Frontline Renegades of Dead London is worth waiting for.

Tired of seeing mass produced prints he has gone for an edition of only 15, and also something that is large scale, sized at 1m x 1m. The uniqueness of each silkscreen print is also added to by the hand finishing, so they are almost one offs.

All this effort doesn't come cheap and a copy will set you back £2500. However with his previous print for Eyestorm Autumn Girl already sold out, it could be a good investment if you have the cash.

Make your own Damien Hirst For the Love of God sculpture

At a cost of £14 million to produce and selling for £50 million not everyone can afford the real For the Love of God sculpture by Damien Hirst. However with this kit from iartistlondon you can now have a go at making your own.

The original was made of platinum and 8,601 diamonds including the central pear shaped diamond on the forehead. For £49.99 you get a real sized plastic skull and all 8,601 crystals to help you re-create the original. You even get glue and tweezers to apply your crystals.

It might take you a while, but for a fraction of the cost what do you want?

If the Hirst sculpture doesn't appeal other kits include a Tracy Emin tent, Marc Quinn Self, and even ibanksy stencil kits including spray paint.

Periferia Uniforme print by Vhils

It's always good news when Pictures On Walls release a new print and this piece by Vhils, Periferia Uniforme is no exception.

The by Lisbon based Vhils is his most technically ambitious print to date produced with multi layers of inks, bleach, and varnish to make each piece unique.

Periferia Uniforme is an edition of 200 and each is signed and numbered by the artist. They are sized at 70 x 50 cm and cost £275.

As with all Pictures On Walls prints they go quick so make sure you don't miss out.

Zara Wood - Small Wonders: a museum of imagination exhibition

We've featured the work of Zara Wood before as we love her cute characters so imagine how excited we were to find out she has a new exhibition called Small Wonders: a museum of imagination at the Box Bird Gallery.

This is solo show of new work by Zara and is inspired by he interest in the natural world and expeditions. The exhibition features cardboard dioramas encased in reclaimed display cases which are reminiscent of the collections such as the Natural History museum that she loved as a child.

The piece featured above is The Explorer Locket, which contains an original drawing. It is sized at 2.5cm x 2.5cm and is a one off for only £70.

The exhibition is on until the 12 July and even features a museum shop which features limited edition postcards, rulers and rubbers.

Bloomsbury Auctions Modern & Contemporary print sale

I like a good browse through an auction catalogue and this Modern & Contemporary print sale at Bloomsbury Auctions that takes place this Thursday 25 June didn't disappoint with 618 lots to view.

There is a good range of pieces available and some of my particular favourites including work by Robin Denny, Richard Hamilton, Peter Blake, Victor Pasmore, David Hockney, Eduardo Paolozzi and the piece above by Colin Self.

This print called Cat, Power and Beauty No.1 is a silkscreen printed in 1968 and is signed, titled and dated in white ink and numbered 4/75. It is sized at 66 x 101cm and is estimated at £300 - £500.
